Scientology Volunteer Ministers Asian Goodwill Tour Helping the People of Kin Men in Their Goal of Peace | |
Kin Men County Mayor, Chu-Fung Lee, welcomed the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour to his island where they will be working with local residents for the coming month. Well known for their work in disaster zones, the technology the Volunteer Ministers offer is effective in helping people do better in any aspect of life. In fact, their motto is "Something CAN be done about it." | | Welcomed to Kin Men by County Mayor, Chu-Fung Lee, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour is providing training in Scientology principles to the people of the island. Pictured here is a graduation ceremony for a course held at the Kin Men Town Hall. | The County Mayor thanked the Volunteer Ministers, voicing his belief that their help will be very valuable to his people. Caught in the cross-currents between China and Taiwan for nearly 60 years, the people of Kin Men have experienced much pain and grief. Yet their traditional kindness disposes them against hatred or fighting back against aggression. The mayor explained that his people believe there is never a single winner in any war. And he sees that the Scientology Volunteer Ministers can help Kin Men achieve its goal of being a bridge for peace between Taiwan and China. The Scientology religion was first brought to Taiwan by Australian ministers in 1988. It was formally recognized as a religion in 2003 by the Ministry of Interior. |

For those who could not read my last entry: It was about the Church of Scientology Volunteer Minister program. Here is some more information about it which I stole from the official website: While Scientology
Volunteer Ministers are renowned for their compassion in the wake of
disaster — their work at Ground Zero, in Southeast Asian after the
tsunami and in Louisiana and Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina —
there is another side to the story. The little disasters.
While an Arizona Scientologist
was walking along one of the area's many mesas through a Hopi Indian
reservation, she noticed a fellow traveler was upset. She questioned
him and she found that he was having a hard time, made worse by the
pain he had from a strained neck.
As a Scientology Volunteer Minister she knew there was something she could do to help. So she stopped and gave him a Scientology assist. And he immediately felt much better.
Assists are techniques developed by L. Ron Hubbard, and are described fully in the Scientology Handbook
which is available online. Assists operate on the principle that one
tends to withdraw mentally or spiritually from an injured area of the
body. Only by restoring communication with this area can one bring the
spiritual element into healing. Scientology Assists are used to
alleviate stress and to orient a confused or distraught individual to
the present environment.
If you would like to learn how to help another with Scientology assists, visit the Scientology Handbook web site.

What'cha think about it?
Scientology Volunteer Ministers Take a Stand Against Crime in Fiji
L. Ron Hubbard discovered effective technology to rehabilitate criminals, which the Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour is sharing with those responsible for handling crime in the nation of Fiji.
Yellow shirts mingled with blue ones on the first day of Crime Prevention Week, when the Church of Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour brought their anti-crime initiative to the police.
With recidivism rates averaging between 47 - 53% and a parliamentary paper conceding last year that despite the staff/prisoner ratio being 1 to 10 the prison population exceeds capacity, government and law enforcement officials alike know they need effective solutions to combat this problem.
Having a great concern, not only for the social ramifications of a prison population that goes back into society only to wreak further harm on their fellow, but also for the lives and future of the criminals themselves, L. Ron Hubbard posed the following question:
If one sincerely hopes to rehabilitate a criminal population then this is the factor one must consider: Where did they lose their self-respect?

I think it is up to one's own decision how happy one can be. Works, a good thought, actually.
I found this quote I want to share: "There are an awful lot of people out there. They are looking for happiness. Well, the clue to happiness is being interested in life. People’s happiness is as great as they can create it. They will not experience happiness from any other quarter than their own generation. They will get the amount of happiness that they can generate."
That is from a wise man,L. Ron Hubbard, who also said: "Happiness, you could say, is the overcoming of not unknowable obstacles toward a known goal." (Full quote at True Scientology).
Well, today's goal will be to get some future plans worked out and in action. I'll keep you briefed how that works.
